Bio: Lord Hemingway Yorkshire has returned to the House of Lords and to the surprise of his friends he is not among the fallen as his twin brother Edwin had decreed many years prior. The first thing Lord Yorkshire did upon entering the sacred halls of Parliament would be to pull out his ivory pen and cross his brothers name off the Treaty of Nobles and decree that “No Yorkshire will ever be a traitor to the people of England and till my last breath, I will fight for King and County…..Long Live The King.” he was met with a thunderous applause and even though he looks like his brother; Jerry Neely was able to tell that his long dead friend had returned to the living and with a joyous smile Neely embraced his old chap with a firm and welcoming handshake.
Lord Yorkshire would field many questions about his supposed passing and as the body of government would gavel out early they would remain in the halls of Parliament for many hours after as the ruling body would sit and listen to Hemingway and hear his tale. He regaled them with a fable of treachery and deception put in place by his brother many decades prior during the days of the Nobles War of 2020 and how Edwin was always jealous about being born minutes after Hemingway and not being the eldest of the two boys and hence not being granted the family title.
His jealousy would deepen as the boys grew and Hemingway would be groomed for his rightful place as the First Duke of Yorkshire and Edwin would just play second fiddle to his minutes older brother. When the boys magical spark awakened, Edwin figured he was destined to usurp Hemingway seeing he was a hermetic and he was a simple adept. When this wasn’t the case Edwin grew angry and his fury got even worse when Hemingway was inducted into the Kingsman and joined the Royal Marines to serve Crown and Country.
So when the War of the Nobles began and Hemingway was already recovering from wounds received in defence of Yorkshire from the warring Nobles and the invading Elves from the Tir; Edwin enacted his plan and according to Hemingway this included spiking his morning tea with a poison that would put him in a stasis like state, where he was aware of everything but yet unable to move, speak or even react to anything that was going on around him. He would watch as his brother forged his signature stating upon Hemingway’s death his body would be frozen and locked in the family tomb within the basement of Castle Yorkshire.
He would also forge documents that would transfer everything over to Edwin and thus his title would fall in the hands of his brother and he would inherent Hemingway’s seat within the House of Lords. A day or so later Hemingway is unsure a it was dark in his room and he couldn’t really keep his eyes open, Edwin decreed in a most humorous and dreadfully awful act that Hemingway had passed away. Hemingway’s own servants where forbidden to enter the room and only the good Doctor Union would be allowed in to confirm the death of Duke Hemingway Yorkshire. Doctor Union was nothing more than a fraud and quack, a man that should have had his medical license revoked years prior and Hemingway was investigating that case; hence Doctor Union had intensive to commit medical fraud for Edwin and decree the death of Hemingway.
The last thing he remembers before being lowered into the cryo chamber was the two men exchanging a satchel of English notes and than everything went dark as the frigid air and cold liquid began to freeze Hemingway to the core and eventually he was locked in a forever state of stasis and even though he was still aware and lost within his own mind, he still fully watched as he was removed from the chamber locked in a block of ice and rested on a chart and placed in a meat truck to be transferred to the Castle for his final stay and his final resting place.
This was when for all purposes Hemingway was deceased and after his funeral and memorial, the people eventually speaking of him in the past tense would miss there Custodian and yet have to accept Edwin as the rightful ruler and noble of Yorkshire. This would mark the end for Hemingway who had all but given up and he closed his eyes for the final sleep as the tombs doors where slammed shut and sealed only darkness was what Hemingway would endure for decades; his mortal life spared by the close watching of Edwin’s servants who where keeping watch to make certain Hemingway wasn’t ever freed of his icy slumber.
Well fast forward to earlier within 2074 sometime during the Second Battle for Seattle, Edwin Yorkshire had betrayed the Human Resistance Movement and many of the Rebels within the Resistance Fight; he as well aligned himself with the European Legion and signed orders to force the Steel Legion out of England and as well made certain that Edgar Malone’s title was beyond reproach and legal. He would work hard to destroy everything that his hero of a brother had ever done and built.
Well all of Edwin’s manipulation would become exposed and he would become a traitor to the rebels and during that faithful battle when Safari would assassinate the HRM (Human Resistance Movement) leader John Ripley who was as well Edwin’s partner in this deception. He would see the house of cards begin to fall and before he could escape the fray, he would meet his own demise at the hands of Boris Sablin and his magnetic magical talents. With the death of Edwin and no living heirs this would leave Castle Yorkshire and the title to be returned to the Crown and with the throne currently empty and Parliament in in chaos they shelved the situation till they had time to undo the damage Edwin had caused.
It seems according to the reports of Sir Oxford and Lord Yates who was about to become the First Duke of Yorkshire from the First Earl; they would visit the Castle prior as Marvin had an odd feeling they had some unfinished business. Seeing Sir Windsor is London Dungeon and MI7 and Lord Yates is both a Kingsman and Sir Windsor’s former boss Marvin’s gut feelings where always investigated.
The arrived at the castle and to their surprise Edwin’s staff and military where still present and very active, it seems that Edwin had been siphoning funds from England and using to fund a large military hidden within the castle grounds. The Commanders were none other than Doctor Union and Edwin’s own butler Mr. Briggs. Well Marvin and Oxford would feel that this needed to dealt with directly and as Agents of the Crown they called in back up and once help arrived they would engage the militia that awaited them.
When the smoke cleared all would lay dead at the feet of the Agents of the Crown, with only Dr. Union and Mr. Briggs cowering in the butler’s pantry. The two men where arrested on charges of High Treason and brought to the Tower of London to await trial; meanwhile Oxford and Marvin would begin a lengthy investigation of the Castle and stumble upon the family tomb. The doors sealed shut, yet power lines and cables had been bored through the stone work and a humming of a generator could be heard within the sealed doors. Marvin knew his hunch was right, Edwin was up to something worse than an attempted hostile takeover of England; the two men broke the seal and opened the doors that hadn’t been opened in many a decade. To their horror they would find a cryo tube still powered up and when they investigated they would discover the frozen body of their friend Hemingway locked in a icy stasis, hi face frozen in terror his hands out pressed against the glass yet his eyes closed as if he was trying to pass on peacefully.
The sight of the tube disturbed the two veteran agents yet they where thankful the life support had not failed and Hemingway’s vitals where weak but he was alive. There was a chance they could revive him and return Lord Yorkshire to his rightful place beside them. The two stunned men reached out to Lord Graham and Dr. O’Malley of MI7 to aid them in carefully moving the cryo chamber and freeing Lord Yorkshire from his icy slumber. This process would need to be done swiftly yet handled with great care as the system was over five decades old and not known for maintaining life for this long. Hemingway’s life was in their hands and every second mattered, the agents of the Crown would begin the process of rescuing Hemingway and reversing Edwin’s treachery to England, within a handful of hours the warming restoration fluids would thaw Hemingway’s core and just as they all feared once the life support was offline Hemingway would begin to code and slip away into the final slumber.
Alfred O’Bannon and August Prichard would supersede and begin life saving first aid, while Marvin, Rugby and Walter would prepare the medical theatre. Reports indicate it took over thirty hours of emergency surgery and medical treatment to restore life to Hemingway and yet he would not be out of the woods yet as his body was still in critical condition. The medication coursing through his blood was still their and now was again taking hold, though with Hemingway in fragile condition this time the poison could actually kill him. Marvin’s quick thinking would end up saving his friends life and Hemingway would be moved to the intensive care wing, were he would remain for many months.
It would take some time for Hemingway to begin walking again, even speaking was a chore and he had to relearn all the simple things we take for granted. This man was put through hell and he was shit out the other end, and Hemingway would show that he true is a soldier of Avalon and a warrior of the Crown, he would walk out of the hospital on his own power less than a year after being revived and turn the House of Lords upside down with his return. Lord Hemingway would have to learn the history that we as well take for granted as he was asleep for over five decades and events that would shatter a normal mind where accepted by Hemingway and he vowed to undo all the evil his brother had committed since his forced ice nap.
Now as for Dr. Union and Mr. Briggs they where tried for Wilful Attempted Murder, Wilful Murder, and High Treason and found guilty on all counts by the jury. The two men where sentenced to by Hung, Drawn and Quartered a punishment not handed down in over four centuries but a fitting one for these two men and it’s a shame Edwin would get off easy as he was killed by Boris earlier in the year. The irony of the situation is that Edgar Malone would be the executioner ordered to perform the execution of the two men that would be part of the twisted web that he was involved in and yet his hands remain clean as he was ignorant of the treachery; the rare execution is scheduled for 28th of December 2074 at 8 am GMT.
Now Lord Yorkshire has been fully restored as the First Duke of Yorkshire and his wealth and land restored to him, the people of his hold are torn as many don’t remember the workings and tithing’s of the humble noble and why he is called the Custodian. Many see yet another relic of the past and a man that should be feared not revered and only time will heal the wounds caused by the Treaty of the Nobles and Edwin Yorkshire’s manipulation and treachery. Though once Hemingway struck out his family name from the dreaded document he instantly became a wanted felon within the United Kingdom and put himself on Edgar Malone’s list of Most Wanted. Hemingway will have to be an absentee noble like many within the House of Lords only able to be within London Town for their monthly meeting till the Treaty of the Nobles can be overturned.
Duke Hemingway has sworn his dedication and loyalty to restoring peace to Yorkshire and freeing his people from the grasp of the Treaty, he has told them that it will take time and he will make certain that he will do everything in his power to make it so. Hemingway believes that since the King refuses to sign the document and the true power restored to the Monarchy that it will be only a matter of time before the European Legion crumbles and the nobles will once again be within control. Till than he has picked up where he left off as a member of the Kingsman, MI7 and an officer within the Steel Legion and Ghost Division.
Hemingway has been spotted donning his dress tans and sporting the new rank of Colonel as he has been deployed within the United Canadian American States to address the situation in Manitoba and hunt down the European Legion agents lurking within Canada. Knowing Hemingway’s military past this man is quite the commander and one that should never be misjudged, his tactics may be old school but they are very effective and as he blends the past with the present he is a rare military mind and one that I am glad to have back fighting for England.
The Custodian is a honour bound and generous man just not a man you ever want to cross, his skill surpasses many men far older and he is not one that can be read very easily as he is English to the very core; his emotions are held tight in his stiff upper lip. This nobleman has no heirs and is reported to be sterile from his icy bath, so he has everything to loose and nothing to gain, normally the reverse makes a man very dangerous; though in Hemingway’s case the same rings true as he has already been deceased once before and he doesn’t fear death but welcomes it. So in my professional opinion never cross Hemingway and never be across the battlefield from him as he has a score to settle with anyone that is an enemy of the Crown.
This is not Edwin and I know you might be confused as they where identical twins, though remember Edwin double crossed Hemingway and every citizen of the Common Wealth of England and not only that he worked to destroy the rebellion within the UCAS and I know some will cheer, but I would rather serve under the rebels than be a slave to the Trinity of Evil. The quickest way to end up with a broken jaw or dead is to call Hemingway by his brothers name, and a warning English Law will arrest you and hang you for striking a noble off the battlefield…..so take the punch and smile, walk away cause if the Custodian strikes you….well you deserved it, he is a caring and a true nobleman. I raise my glass to you Duke Hemingway Yorkshire and wish the best in your future endeavours.
