Bio: The man, the myth and the mysterious runner known as Evergreen is one of the oldest runners to emerge on the scene during the days of the Next Generation and has been so dubbed the father of the Next Gens. This man has been able to remain secluded in mystery for over two decades and even his life prior to becoming a runner is a complete mystery. Evergreen once fought alongside his fellow runners during the cleansing of the dreamers during the War of the Shadows and even was a welcomed member of the Mariners for a period of time; though as quickly as Evergreen emerged on the scene he would slip back into the shadows and become nothing more than a whisper of the streets and a faint memory of the sprawl.

What had happened to Evergreen was the question many within the shadows were asking at the time, though everyone figured the father of the Next Gens had just passed away from an age related illness or just old age itself, though we would come to learn only a few days ago that couldn’t have been farther from the truth. There have been Evergreen sightings within Seattle as of recent, and this runner is still quite spry and active as he has been spotted engaging both UCAS and British forces within Downtown and making short work of these trained and hardened soldiers.

Evergreen was quite skilled at living in subterfuge and staying of the radar, so we only have rumours and speculation to go with, his prior life is completely unknown and his life as a runner was wrapped in mystery; his operations are unknown and he wasn’t involved in any of the legendary jobs of his day (Or maybe he was and we just don’t have any proof). Even the photographs of Evergreen were stills captured from surveillance cameras, and we have no actual colour images of this runner to date. (I am on a quest to capture some updated images of Evergreen). This man claims to be a Next Gen runner but do to his age he could be from the Criminal Elite; we are just left guessing when it comes to Evergreen. His return does cause some concern though, what was this man doing for all those years within the shadows, what has brought him out of retirement and why has he chosen 2074 as the year to return to the game?

The greatest legend of his generation has once again returned to the shadows, this would make him close to a century if not older in age and from the vague witness reports Evergreen’s combat prowess is unmatched as he moves like lightning, and just absorbs incoming attacks with ease. He once again proves that once he is rooted he will never fall, and for Evergreen he seems to have taken root once again in Seattle and has openly expressed his political stance. Though I will have to do further research into this runner as their is currently no known viable information and I don’t want to really report on the rumours; though be warned if you are to encounter Evergreen as he is a total enigma, we have zero information on him. There is no reports of him being a villain and monster, though nor are their any reports of him being a hero either; only those that worked alongside Evergreen during the Shadow War would have any factual information and good luck getting runners like Quickdraw, Switch Doctor and Nightshade to spill the beans about their friend and comrade.

So until more information can be uncovered about Evergreen please use caution when approaching or dealing with this man, he is a true enigma and unknown element of the current shadows. This man’s return only secures the rumour that the Mariners are returning to make their mark within the current environment of the shadows and it seems that the streets will run with blood once again as the Mariners return as the streets once again are flooding with their mortal enemy the Dreamers. Will the War of the Shadows begin once again, will history repeat itself and gallons of needless blood being spilled in the name of the shadows, only time will tell if we are entering into yet another bloody age when the young are butchered by the warriors of the shadows. Evergreen though has already proven that he will fight against the Dreamers and it seems that maybe their return is what lured this dinosaur out of retirement, Well this is my professional opinion and nothing more, as I have no actual verifiable proof of anything dealing with his return except for witnesses reporting on his return and his prior actions taken over a decade ago.
