THE DEVIL DOGS

The Devil Dogs, well this mercenary unit has been in operation for over fifty years and started off as a full fledged military battalion. They took up arms against the native threat directly after the Great Ghost Dance of 2017 and haven’t relented since, this unit has taken extreme causalities and losses throughout the ages but they have hearts of steel and keep pushing forward against all odds. The Devil Dogs have been involved in most major conflicts to take place within the boarders of North America even standing against the Union and fighting alongside the Confederates during the Second Civil War. This unit crawled out of a classified testing base within the hills of Montana during those early days, there research and technology was so classified that even today it still remains a mystery on what they where working on. Though through the years the Devil Dogs have shown advanced vehicle warfare and unusual weapons and cyber technology so we can only assume that they are still using that classified technology. The Devil Dogs have been fighting against the NAN for over fifty years and most of them have been warriors and soldiers long before those days, so they might be old but something is keeping these men alive and physically in there prime.

The Dogs have become a serious threat to anyone they consider an enemy and they are lead by a military genius the likes never seen before, only Alexander of the Deaths Hand can even come close to the mind of General Isadore “Izzy” Archer and even that is stretching it. This man has earned the trust and loyalty of his men to the point they disobeyed direct orders from The President of the United States to stand and fight along side this man. He has lead them to multiple victories through the years, the Devil Dogs might have tasted defeat and have had to bury many of their own along the years. Though General Archer has never once ruled with an iron fist and has always stated that any men who wish to walk away can at any time. Not every one of of Archers men feel in battle some retired to remote locations and others passed from age and natural causes, though most fell in battle against there enemy and there deaths keep the remaining going. The are fighting for a cause they feel just and they are fighting for the memories of all there brothers that fell before them, they keep fighting cause to walk away would mean all the killing and blood spilled would be in vain.

The Devil Dogs are an elite unit of the Patriots and serve the cause, though they answer only to there General and not to Colonial. This unit is extremely professional and all live by the soldiers code of conduct, they are true mercenaries and follow the chain of command. Though there numbers have been cut to near extinction those that remain are all extreme in there dedication and there abilities and every Dog understands that one day they may fall in battle but that is a sacrifice that every soldier is willing to make. These men travel throughout the badlands but unlike the Rattlers they do enter civilised society on occasion and when they do, you could easily mistake them for business men or civilised gentlemen minus a few select members. The Devil Dogs use this ability to blend into the background and keep there movements silent, this unit never works freelance and only fights for the cause.

The Dogs are wanted by both the governments of the NAN and the UCAS, but that has not stopped or slowed them down in anyway, they are not taking on any new recruits any more , though if you can find them and go through the Dog command chain to reach either Thunder, Mandrake or the General himself they might be willing to consider your application. This is one background check you do not want to fail, the Dogs will sick there rabid Wolverine or brutal Brawler on you if they are not feeling nice enough to just put you down quickly. They have no primary base of operation since they are branded outlaws and enemies of the state, but they do have a Mobile Battle Fortress called the Dog Pound and this mechanical beast is a true fright to see emerge on the horizon.

The Dogs have been fighting for over half a century or longer, but these men have maintained a portion of there soul and humanity in despite of all the killing and bloodshed they have seen. These men try there best to not engage civilians even those of the enemy nation, seeing that as an ultimate act of evil and they are soldiers who all swore an oath and they try to stick to that oath the best they can. Though if pushed they will strike back and if that means killing a civilian than so be it, also if there enemy is camped in a civilian town or city they will use there guns from there many tanks, fortress or Mobile Battle Tank to lay waste to the enemy. This normally ends with mass civilian casualties, the Dogs might hate that the enemy forces them to do this but they are fighting a war and these are the risks one takes.

These soldiers are an elite fighting force and with that, they are the bane to any moderately trained opponent, these men all have a role to play in this conflict and they are all fully invested in the cause. They are fighting for the memories of there family, friends and countrymen, they are fighting for the Old America, the one where patriotism and nationalism hold strong values. They will never relent and never surrender and they even see the current UCAS as traitors to the Constitution so they are more then willing to engage the UCAS military and this is something that troubles the politicians in DC as well as the military leaders. Since Mandrake has proven on a number of occasions to be able to intercept coded communications and as well hijack and operate the Satellite Orbital Laser system and use it against the military. They have made a sport out of infiltrating military compounds and even fooling Military Police into thinking they are active officers, till they strike and make off with weapons, supplies and vehicles.

The Devil Dogs are playing a cat and mouse game with the Sioux Nation and striking at the boarders and even at times making assaults deep with the nation and devastating a military compound or boarder post. These men all uniformly hate the Sioux and will do everything in there power to extract a blood price from them for there sins, they might be social and willing to talk but when it comes to a Sioux they are on there full guard and this is not without merit. They are from Montana and the surrounding regions, these men have all lost loved ones and there homes during those nights of blood and the Ghost Dance. They have been vilified and there reputations, honour and legacy have been tarnished there isn’t a Sioux alive that hasn’t been told the tales of the Montana Resistance or the Battle of Butte. Despite there honour these men have a hard time dealing with Sioux natives do to the lies that have been told about them and hatred that burns deep in both the Sioux and the Dogs.

The Sioux warriors during the early days of the war, wouldn’t even allow the Dogs the respect to remove there dead from the battlefield and would assault there funeral division when they came back to claim their fallen brothers. This didn’t sit well with the General and the Dogs since under the articles of war the claiming of the fallen is allowed and members of funeral services division are protected under these acts as non combatants. Needless to say this division was one of the first to be rendered extinct, the natives would even assault there medical officers eventually forcing members of this unit to cross train and complete a fully combat ready division. Needless to say the Dogs are not the biggest fans of the Sioux and for good reason, these men will never accept surrender from any enemy unit and they never take prisoners. If the enemy won’t follow the simplest rules of war, General Archer is willing to return the favour.

The Dogs are still around today, even though there numbers are down to no more then twelve, from thousands these twelve are the best of the best all cross trained and all able to fight with all the skill of an elite special forces team. Though this team has the power and skills of the entire UCAS special forces division in just twelve men. These are the brightest, fastest, strongest and most elite warriors the mercenary world has ever scene and since they have never stopped fighting the war that started back in 2017 these super soldiers are nothing you ever want to engage on the battlefield or within city limits. They are all equipped with DAOD technology and stolen UCAS military equipment, they fought in countless desert wars on behalf of DAOD and for there support they have been given state of the art equipment and everything else they commandeer from Aries Arms or the UCAS Military and don’t forget they still are in possession of those classified military equipment and vehicles. People say that there Battle Fortress and the Air Bird they use must be from that undocumented equipment, These men are well equipped, well dressed, and well feed they are not your normal band of rogue mercenaries and they should never be underestimated to do so will only make you a statistic.

        THE DOGS

  General Isadore “Izzy” Archer (Warpath): This is the man and legend, he is the one who commanded the test facility in Montana and disobeyed direct orders to stand down. He is the Alpha Dog and nothing the Devil Dogs do has not been first brought before Izzy, he has final say in who lives and who dies and this man is the one who gave the orders to never take prisoners unless they are an officer and might have valuable intelligence. Though he turns his back during the interrogation process leaving that to Abyss and he cares little to what happens to them after they have revelled state secrets. General Archer has seen the worst the world can throw at him and he has lost everything during those days, his wife and children, his home, his country and his honour and patriotism have been tarnished. He is deemed no better than a domestic terrorist and has been hunted by federal law enforcement for decades, this man sacrificed everything to defend Lady Liberty and citizens of America and he was repaid by being branded an outlaw and awaiting the hangman’s noose if he is ever caught. Izzy is fighting for the people of his beloved America and he is fighting for the truth, as long as the Devil Dogs still breath he will be fighting for justice for all those who were senselessly slaughtered during those bloody nights.

 Colonel Jeb Masterson (Thunder): Good old Jeb, this Dog is the last of the original artillery division to remain with the Dogs. He has seen the worst of the worst and he has buried many of his fellow brothers through the years, this man is a long range gunner and he specializes in high calibre fire power. Jeb has been part of this unit from the first bloody days and has marched alongside his brothers ever since, eventually getting promoted to Colonel and being the second in command of this elite unit. Jeb is another man who lost everything when the Sioux attacked and he was more then willing to extract a blood price for the sins committed against him and his countrymen. This soldier is a true legend in the gunner world, he has managed to modify a riggers control deck to operate multiple weapons at the same time, this also includes the tanks they have in there arsenal. Jeb might not be a rigger but this man can command and operate those armour units better then any actual tank commander ever born. If thats not scary enough once Jeb unleashes the guns, death rains down upon the enemy with pin point accuracy and with all the deadly accuracy of a smart bomb system. He also modified the guns on the Mobile Battle Fortress to not only have an increased range with there heavy weapons he improved the APZ (Anti-Personnel Zone) and AVZ (Anti-Vehicle Zone) he did this as well to there Mobile Battle Tank. Jeb is feared on the battlefield for good reason, cause he is more then willing to turn his heavy weapons onto to personnel and his personal machine gun has spilled gallons of blood from advancing troops. This man might still have part of his soul intact, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy his job a little to much, Jeb is one of the Dogs who just can’t help it if he kills civilians and for him it’s all part of war when you fire large explosives into the air one must just accept that sometimes an innocent gets in the way, especially when the enemy uses the civilians as shields. He losses no sleep when he fires upon the Sioux and accidentally kills civilians, and he just loves to hear the screams and cries of terror when they learn that they are under fire from Thunder.

Lieutenant Colonel Ward MacDonald (Mandrake): Ward was once the commander of the facilities research and development division as well as part of the Army’s Science Corps. He holds a doctorate in Chemistry and a masters in Biology, this man was part of a division that was considered non combatant. Though like all soldiers he was trained in the basics, through the years this man has not only excelled in battle he has become a legend in close quarters combat. Ward when he joined General Archer and took up arms against the evils of the NAN, he not only stole all the research and work data and files, he deleted and burned everything so the military would never have access to his work and findings ever again for this Ward has earned himself a date with the hangman alongside the General. Ward took up arms and is fighting for the cause do to the death of his family but the murder of his newly born grandson is what pushed this man over the edge and into picking up a weapon and taking to the fight. Ward is a toxicologist by trade and his vast knowledge of natural plants, herbs and insects have allowed the Devil Dogs to survive for longer periods of time in the wilds. Without him, they would have succumbed to hazards of the wilds and eventually been defeated not by the NAN or UCAS forces but by nature itself. Mandrake is now using his vast knowledge to bring down the NAN forces through use of poisons and striking at there supply lines and within there mess halls. This man has no compassion for the soldiers of the NAN and is willing to go to extremes to make his wrath felt, including using chemical agents within the shells of Jeb’s guns and bringing old school tactics of war long since banned to his enemy. This man still wears his wedding ring and keeps a picture of his grandson close to is heart, so his anger is pure and he is willing to do whatever it takes to bring down the enemy, the Devil Dogs care about the tactics he is deploying since if the enemy won’t fight fair why should they. He is also able to use his non threatening professional appearance and demeanour to infiltrate many compounds and steal vital medical and chemical supplies, this man uses a Squirt as his weapon of choice and what he has loaded in that gun, will cause many to have nightmares just thinking about it.

 Major Trevor Powers (Huntsman): Trevor is a special forces trained soldier, he was part of the Army Rangers and he was not on active duty when the dark days hit. This man was ravaged by the native magic’s and viciously attacked by his adopted son. Trevor was a guide and tracker for the locals and tourists in Montana when he wasn’t on active duty, he was trained by the Sioux in there natural skills and the arts of being a scout, guide, hunter and tracker. He was also part of the elite guard known as the Wildcats before they became a fierce military unit that we know today. Trevor lived amongst the natives and was married to a young native women who was rendered barren do to illness, when a close friend of his was killed while out in the wilds of Montana he became a father and was awarded custody of his friend and mentors child. Trevor was fully accepted amongst there world and he as well respected there heritage and legends, what he didn’t see coming was the betrayal and the knife being plunged into his back. When the Ghost Dance was unleashed Trevor was seriously wounded and his wife had ran off leaving him to die, his son then started stabbing Trevor over a dozen times till he could get to his pistol and opening fire killing his own son in self defence. He was able to survive his wounds and once General Archer arrived in his town, Trevor joined the Dogs and was admitted to the medical bay of there fortress. This man has since struck fear into the hearts of the enemy and uses his abilities as a guide and scout to keep the Dogs safe and out of ambushes. He as well lurks the planes and hills like a wildcat and has shared the sacred secrets of Wildcat training with his fellow dogs. Trevor might have been a Wildcat but he is now a vicious dog with very sharp vengeful teeth that he uses to bring down the enemy, he is the only Devil Dog that has seen that even civilians can’t be trusted and is more then willing to take one down if he senses a threat. This man is more than a handful for any enemy unit and can bring down an entire boarder camp by himself, so there is a reason the Sioux have vilified and branded this man a monster it’s out of fear and self preservation. He was trained in the long lost arts of the Wildcat and not the knew modern uniformed traditions, Trevor is a true Wildcat amongst the Devil Dogs and he has cross trained his fellow brothers in there tactics, language and traditions and for this the Sioux are very nervous.

 Major Edward Mallard (Tracker): This man is a former green beret team leader and has served alongside the Devil Dogs since day one this man holds serious discontent for the native forces, do the serious damage that he received from there magical assault and the slaughter of his family. When General Archer gave his now famous speech and called for the men at his post to stand and fight against the evils that befell the citizens of America, Edward even though injured was the first to step forward to accept the call of duty. Edward was the bases chief security officer and with him came the the rest of his security forces and his green beret team and from there like a wave in the ocean more and more men stepped forward to accept the call of duty and stand as one in defence of the Constitution and the citizens of the United States of America. Since those early days sadly this soldier has had to bury many of his men, and even forced to abandon the bodies of fallen brothers in arms, do to the unethical practices of the Sioux. Edward has become one of the most feared forward observers of this unit and has since become even more frighting when he received the training from Trevor in the traditions and practices of the Wildcats. Edward is as well a very charming and social man, he uses his kindly grandfatherly professional demeanour to gain the confidence of his targets and gain access to facilities and locations that otherwise would be barred from this outlaw mercenary. This old soldier is highly trained in all aspects of his unit and can even do some minor decking, so when it comes to Edward there isn’t anything that he can’t figure out and once he hunkers down and begins to stalk the enemy he can follow them to the ends of the earth and they will never be the wiser. Edward has also been skilled in the ways of the natural world and is a master tracker, after he was cross trained by Trevor he has become a force to be reckoned with. He is another that can bring down an entire camp by his lonesome, and he also is the man who uses the laser designators to aid Jeb in his long range assaults. Don’t be fooled by Edwards gentlemanly appearance and age this man is a legend and he can charm the pants of anyone and slice the throat of the person standing next to them. He is the man that has kept the Devil Dogs in the good graces of most small rural communities and has even gotten them to stand in there defence as they make their escape, he is a con man and a killer so beware, never trust Edward.

 Captain Roy Unger (Dizzy): Roy is the last of the original riggers from the Devil Dogs and this man holds an extreme grudge for all the senseless killing he has seen and for all the blood he has been forced to spill in the name of the cause. He pilots the units classified air bird and this chopper has rained death down upon the enemy for years, it is completely invisible to radar and other detection technology and to make matters worse, this bird was overhauled by DAOD for there service to the corporation during the Desert Wars. This rigger understands the philosophy of fire and forget and with such he has been able to maintain some resemblance of a conscience and soul. Roy has modified his remote decks to be able to operate the MBF (Mobile Battle Fortress) and the MBT (Mobile Battle Tank) while he flies the air bird. He was as well cross trained by both Jeb and Ward in the arts of long range gunnery and electronic warfare so this rigger is more then a handful for any enemy unit. He is also a master in using thermal protection and counter detection security systems, so trying to track there location by pinpointing there signal and vehicles is a waste of time, money and resources these mercenaries have eluded capture for this long by staying one step ahead of those that wish them harm. If you ever see the air bird in the sky consider yourself honoured to have seen the legendary Dizzy but as well make a hasty retreat from any possible military targets or that will be the last thing you ever see.

 Captain Lester Greenfield (Chaplin): Lester is an a true soldier and man of God, he served in the Religious Division as a senior Chaplin and is the spiritual guide for the Devil Dogs. This man has always stood by General Archer and the cause since day one and has never once wavered in his dedication to his men and his oath. Lester now might be questioning his faith for the actions he has been forced to take during those days and for the blood he has on his hands. This man has been there for every one of his fellow Dogs in there time of need and he has performed countless last rites all this and the lack of respect given to there fallen during most of the Resistance of Montana and the Battle for Butte this started his downward spiral. Lester has been able to keep himself in check, though his soul has been shattered and he is only half the man he once was, he wears a false visage to keep the morale and spirits up for his men as he is the last member of the Religious Division left alive and he knows the needs of his men out way his own. Lester during those days saw that there medical division was being cut to ribbons and with him questioning his faith and having to take up arms in defence, he cross trained as a field medic and has become there primary physician ever since. So this man both tries to heal there wounded souls, but he as well heals there wounded minds and bodies. Don’t think that Lester is a push over and won’t take up arms, this man of God and medicine is just as capable in battle as any of his fellow Dogs. Lester has gotten blood on his hands before and he will not think twice about doing it again if he needed to. This Dog can use his reserved nature and age to slip into cities and gather intelligence and needed supplies, don’t be fooled this Dog will fight back if backed into a corner and he has nothing to loose so he will fight with everything he has left in his body remember his soul is fractured and he is trying to hold onto what resemblance of humanity he has left though there is a darkness within him so be warned.

 First Lieutenant Gavin McConnell (Voltage): Gavin was the chief of computer security division within the secret base, he is a true master of everything that involves use of the computer and he has managed through his years with the Devil Dogs to keep his skills as a decker up to date and even surpass many legends in his craft. He has served the Dogs from the beginning and was the man responsible for cutting the Pentagon and the White House off from their data and research when the Dogs took up arms in resistance. Gavin gladly sided with General Archer and his fellow soldiers in the fight, he as well lost everything during those nights and he was forced to watch as his family was butchered through a direct video feed he had set up, he was on a video call with his wife and children when the natives struck. He had to sit there and watch as his wife was brutally raped repeatedly and then her throat slit, he watched in horror as his children were brutally murdered and to aid salt to the already open wound he again watched as the native soldier took his wife’s weeding ring and a locket that he had given her. Gavin is still on the hunt for that native solider and his face is burned deep into his memory, his anger burns deep within his soul and he at time can barley keep the beast in check.

Not only is Gavin a legend in the decking world he is also a highly skilled hermetic magi, this man awakened when magic returned to the world and he has become a terror with the powers of the elements. As a decker and computer expert, he managed to gain access to ancient libraries and spell tomes that had been uploaded into the fragile internet prior to the data crash and with his military clearance he was able to access the early files that were being catalogued for the Library of Congress. He did this right under the nose of the military and never let them know he was a magi, he felt that if they found out he was awakened they would shuffle him off to some dusty old library in DC and he would never again see the light of day. Gavin wasn’t being paranoid, during those days newly awakened magi that served in the military were being ushered off under the cover of night and most where never seen again. Though this allowed Gavin to study in secret, maintain his post and hone his skills this was even kept in the dark from General Archer till the day he gave his now fabled and epic oratory and called for his men to take up arms and defend the American people from the threat of the native forces.

Gavin has since become a true terror as a hermetic, creating many of his own personal spells and mastering the old ways of elemental magic. He has also been able to commandeer many of the natives shamanistic tombs and records, he might not be fully able to harness the natives magic but he is more then capable of being able to discern there secrets and twist some of there rites so he can use them. Gavin has as well been crucial for the Dogs in their hunts for the native shaman divisions and keeping them well protected from enemy spirits and elementals. Gavin has also figured away to harness his decking and his mystical abilities to be able to actually see and feel the wireless signals, this means nothing is safe and he can access any hard point in the matrix from anywhere as long as he can see or sense it, this means that even closed systems are not safe from him.

He is as well cross trained by Ward in the arts of being an electronic warfare specialist, this makes Gavin a very dangerous decker, he has managed to keep the matrix free of the Devil Dogs movements, and locations. he as well manages to assist Ward in keeping the government satellites from videoing and capturing there signature this is the main reason the Dogs have been able to move undetected for so long and as well this allows the Dogs to strike quickly and normally by surprise. Don’t think that Gavin is a pushover in battle do to him being a decker and magi, this man is a soldier through and through and has been cross trained by some of the best warriors to live. He is as well a master of elemental magic’s this means that Gavin can sling some very nasty fireballs, lightning bolts and not to mention his custom spells. If you are looking to be resting in a coffin six feet under engage Gavin and you will be ready for your funeral, this man is fighting for a cause and this man is fighting for justice so if your brave enough and can find him maybe he will tell you his story over a cold beer. Just don’t be stupid and don’t make any false moves and choose your words carefully around Gavin or that might be the last beer you ever drink.

Lt. Colonel Nelson Rodger (Graphite):
