Krieghoff Clan
The Krieghoff clan is one of the most notorious dynasties that have ever ran the shadows of Seattle. This is one family that holds true to the statement of a family that kills together, stays together. This family dynasty started off with just the elders that have been forced through happenstance to operate both within the shadows and then masquerading as suburbanites during the day. This clan has through the years grown in size and has adapted to using the children as members of this criminal syndicate, the Krieghoff clan has been involved in many of the cities harshest crimes and has buried many of the enemies of this families.
The Krieghoff’s entered the world of the shadows during the dark and violent days of old Seattle, they where once law abiding citizens and productive members of society, till the ghost dance, nights of blood and then the Data Crash of 29′ was the final straw that broke this families back. Once a proud family that was forced to partake in the criminal world in order to survive after they would loose everything when the system would come crumbling down and the family elders would end up being zeroed. These once office jockeys would have their entire lives stripped from them, and they would have to entire the shadows only to survive and put food on the table. Well what would start as a need for survival would turn into a dynasty and as this family would grow in size through the years so would their criminal empire. Through the growth of their dynasty, the Krieghoff clan would begin to go from criminals by force, to criminals by choice and their would be no-one brave enough to stand up to this family, thus allowing them to excel and cement themselves deep with the underworld with zero fear of the authorities and have complete reign to do whatever they desire. The Krieghoffs would eventually become so rooted in the underworld that even their kin would become the next generation to serve the family business. For the Krieghoffs of the Lynnwood district, their criminal empire has grown to a point that nothing goes down in that sector without them knowing about, these shadow operators have infected the entire region, even the districts vigilantes steer clear of this clan. Not our of fear but respect, the Krieghoffs might be violent criminals, guilty of some seriously nefarious crimes. Though they also don’t shit where they sleep and eat, this is one of the reasons this district is normally free from most crimes. The crime rate in Lynnwood is heavily monitored and any criminal unlucky enough to meet one of this clan is not long for this world.
This family does hold very deep roots to the Old America and keeps true to the very traditions, even though they have now chosen to partake in a life of crime and shadowrunning. Even the children have entered the lifestyle and are well on their way to making a name for themselves under the guidance of yet another runner family dynasty the Yates family. Andrew Yates aka Toad has taken many of this families youth under his belt and has begun to train them further into the art of being a runner. The Krieghoffs might be legendary criminals, but the Yates Family is world renowned for their criminal enterprising. With the legendary Brothers Grimm hailing from the Yates family, the Krieghoffs where honoured to receive the recognition from even the youngest of that dynasty and Toad has proven himself to be a worthy runner and commander of this gang of youths. Well for the Krieghoffs this partnership means the adults can focus on their enterprise, while the children are protected and being trained and exposed to the reality of the world.
These kids will not have the same luxury of having a childhood, having their toys replaced with body armour, firearms, and cybernetics. These kids should be concerned with going on their first date or if they handed in their homework. Instead these kids are being trained in demolitions, melee weapons, electronics and how to shoot straight. These kids already have a body count and most have more money than most adults four times their age do. The Krieghoffs have fully sided with the city during the war and have never once stood up for the UCAS that has given them everything. They follow the old ways and believe strongly in freedom for all, so you can bet the children have been indoctrinated with those hateful lies and blinded from the truth. This family might seem like an easy pray, but in reality they are so rooted into the city that they are a parasite that can’t be just removed. As many in their district and neighbourhood might not like what this family does, though it accepts it and is willing to turn a blind eye to the criminal activity as long as they keep the violence out of Lynnwood. For this the Krieghoffs have rewarded the district with new parks, new school buildings, computers, books, and even a state of the art library for the children to use and can an upper hand with the rich kids. The Krieghoffs have also started more then one scholarship program through the university that will allow many students of Lynnwood to go to Seattle University free of charge, they even partnered with Tudor and Marvin Yates to create additional scholarship programs for oversee education in some of Europe’s finest universities.
The Krieghoff family is a criminal dynasty and this is as dangerous as the organised crime gangs that have taken control of many of the other districts and polluted the city government with their out reaching corruption. Well the Krieghoffs are not free of sin their either. This clan has it’s bony fingers deep within the backbone of the city and has it’s own brand of influence and corruption. Though do to the connection with the Brothers Grimm, their is not one soul brave enough to take this family on and they have been allowed to fester and manipulate their way into a privileged position of the cities criminal celebrity status. Even when bodies are discovered that can be traced to this clan, they are never investigated and not once since the rise of this clan have anyone of them ever stood trial for any crime, they have been allowed to actually get away with murder. Thus increasing the families celebrity status. This is one family that you don’t even want moving in next door to you, they are murderers and traitors to the people of the UCAS. The Krieghoffs are a serious threat and even though they have been in operation for over forty years they are still dwarfed and protected by the infamous Yates family. So unless you wish to deal with the Brothers Grimm or any of their known allies, it is bet to just avoid the Krieghoffs at all costs. This clan is not known for being very tolerant and they will do whatever is in the best interests of their clan. So keep this in mind they might protect Lynnwood, but they are also corrupting Lynnwood and basically own that districts Town Council, Police and Board of Education so nothing and I mean nothing occurs in Lynnwood without the Krieghoffs say so.
Meet the Krieghoff Elders
Richter Krieghoff: The most elder of the Krieghoffs has seen the worst the world can through at him, Richter is the true patriarch of this criminal dynasty. He was once a proud member of the United States military and served his country proudly till his country stabbed him in the back. Richter served in the United States Army and held the distinguished rank of General, he served inside the Joint Chiefs and was the direct military advisor to the President. Do to a personal disagreement he was stripped of his rank, and drummed out of the military, he was left dishonoured and without a dime to his name. Richter was forced to take drastic measures and so begun the earliest stages of the Krieghoff family dynasty, they initially took up arms to protect their kin, and through a course of disasters they would be forced to enter the criminal world and so begins the Krieghoff empire and we have Richter to thank for this dynasty.
Hector Krieghoff: Well when it comes to Hector, he stand as Richter’s younger brother and this man was more then willing to take up arms against a tyrannical government and fight for the Old American values. Hector also served in the United States Army and held the high rank of Colonel. Hector like his brother was drummed out of the army during the rise of the UCAS, he refused to follow a direct order and he as well turned his guns onto the same people that he once served. Hector was left with very little choice and a life of crime seemed better then a life serving a tyrannical government.
Victoria Krieghoff: She is the eldest of the Krieghoff women, and married to Richter. Victoria hails from another American dynasty family known as the Kingsbury’s and is the older sister of the Freedom Patriots commander General Archibald Kingsbury. She is the guiding light behind the Krieghoff dynasty. Victoria stands true by her husbands side and keeps this family in check, she is the lynch pin holding this dysfunctional family together and being born a Kingsbury has allowed he to remain immune to any sort of enemy retaliation. Not many people would dare upset the man who owns Boston and is the commander of the second largest standing army in the world.
Olivia Krieghoff: The wife of Hector and a shrewd old business women, Olivia has held the families financials and is single handedly responsible for making sure the Krieghoffs seem legit on paper. She in the same breath will hug her grandchildren and order the extermination of the family enemies with the other. Olivia is a strong but ruthless women and shows just how far the Krieghoffs are willing to go to remain a criminal dynasty and what they are willing to do to the UCAS government.
Frankie Krieghoff: This Krieghoff is known as Big Momma and the wife of Paul, she is one ruthless women that is a sheer control freak. Frankie is one of the few of the Krieghoff women that is willing to take things in her own hands and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Frankie may play suburban housewife, but she is a true warrior and her military training has truly paid off in spades. Frankie is the families go to women, for making sure everything runs smoothly and with her street connections their is very little she can’t find, get or make vanish.
Charles Krieghoff: Good old Uncle Charles they call this man, well good is only in the eye of the beholder. Charles was once a corporate executive and served on the board of directors for Aries Arms. Well during the Data Crash he lost everything, though he didn’t loose his contacts, his favours and his ruthless cut-throat corporate mindset. He has been able to shift himself from law abiding citizen to ruthless criminal with very little resistance and for Charles killing on the street is no different then figuratively killing in the boardroom. Charles is in command of the families vast fortune and he is the arms dealer for the Krieghoffs and this man doesn’t give a damn about anyone other then his own family, so for Uncle Charles business is business and his debt collection is always paid in pounds of flesh.
Paul Krieghoff: Paul is the eldest son of Richter and having grown up in a military family he learned at a young age that he shouldn’t get attached to anyone outside of the family and that violence solves everything. Paul married Frankie and brought the Church family into the Krieghoffs. Paul is a true soldier hiding as a suburban father, this man works inside the Lynnwood Middle School as a teacher of History and he uses his place to manipulate the youth of the city and as well spread his criminal influence to both the students of the Middle school and the High School where he as well teaches advanced robotics. Paul is a heartless man that is only looking out for his family and their dynasty, he will do anything needed to protect his status in the Krieghoffs and if one of his elders gives an order expect it to be done in spades.
Brady Krieghoff: The brother of Charles and one of the most ruthless fixers and dealers the city has ever known, Brady has had his hands in the criminal empire for generations and has been acting as a fence long before he would become a fixer. Many of his creed owe everything to the teachings of Brady. He was once a Corporate middle manager for Aries Arms and was in charge of there outsourcing department. He would become zeroed during the Data Crash but that would not stop Brady from being able to continue his choke hold on his contacts and allies within Aries Arms. Brady is another linchpin for this family dynasty and it’s his warm façade that lures unsuspecting victims into the tangled web the Krieghoffs have been weaving for generations.
Jeffrey Krieghoff: The son of Brady, Jeffrey has had the world handed to him and he has been exposed to the criminal element from a very young age. Jeffrey learned that he would have to fight the system and even though his father provided for him, he wouldn’t have everything handed to him without earning his fair share. Jeffrey started off as a child solider and has been in and out of the judicial system so much that he eventually decided that he was going to become a lawyer and work solely for the family and help keep their actions appearing legitimate and legal. Jeffrey works alongside both Brady and Charles helping keep the federal government out of the family books and keeping the Krieghoffs out of jail.
Darcy Krieghoff: She is the daughter of Charles and Darcy is one of the few Krieghoffs that can be almost called legitimate. Though that is a real far cry from law abiding citizen, she is one of the strong arms of the family that has specialized in extortion and protection rackets. Darcy has her hands deep within the city politics and has dated many of the men in power, she with a snap of her finger can bring down a resistance that dwarfs most quick response teams. Darcy is currently sitting on the board of directors for the leading contract ambulance corps, She can void any contract and delay any response or use the company as her own personal strike force, so Darcy might be legit, but that doesn’t mean her hands are clean and she is free of sin.
Elmer Krieghoff: Cousin Elmer is the son of Richter’s fathers brother and is another if the family elders that has seen the bloody days of the ghost dance and nights of blood. Elmer joined his cousin in the defence of the family and the fight for freedom, and eventually brought his side of the Krieghoffs into the criminal dynasty. Elmer before taking up arms against the government and becoming a criminal mastermind used to serve as a police officer, once the city went to a contract security division he left the force, but not without holding onto all his contacts and allies. Elmer is the man that keeps the family off the radar of the police and has even sent many innocent men to prison for crimes they committed. He is a cleaner and master of falsifying crime scenes and framing people for crimes, then using this frame job as way to lean heavily on them to guarantee full cooperation.
Mortimer Krieghoff III:
Mortimer Krieghoff Junior : The last of the truly elder Krieghoffs, Mortimer is the Uncle of Richter and Hector and Father of Elmer. Mortimer was also once a proud military officer that served in the US Marine Corps as artillery commander and officer. He was as well drummed out of the corps and dishonoured for his insubordinate behaviour during the bloody days to follow the Great Ghost Dance. Mortimer along with his nephews began to strike up a resistance against the newly formed UCAS and eventually grow into a true family criminal dynasty. Uncle Morty as he is referred to, has since become very active in the corporate world and sits on many board of trustees and is acting chairman of Bio-Tech. He is also deeply rooted in the Lynnwood district and sits as the president of the school board, chairman of the town council and is the acting sheriff for Lynnwood, This man is so rooted into the district that he has become, well liked and received by many and everyone considers Uncle Morty to be their friend. Even though he is running a vast criminal empire and has buried many innocent souls, well I guess it’s okay since he attends weekly service and atones for his sins. Who am I kidding this man is the damned Godfather of this family and nothing happens without his say so.
Eleanor Jamestown-Krieghoff:
Roy Krieghoff: Even a family dynasty like this need muscle and thats where Roy comes in, this man is a debt collector, message sender and arm breaker. Roy is dispatched when the family needs to send a very punishing message but they want the victim to survive to learn from their mistakes. Roy has been trained by the very best of the Krieghoffs and he doesn’t care about anything other than furthering the families interests. Roy is in command of a large number of non family soldiers that he uses as expendable soldiers to send a very brutal message to those who stand in the way of the Krieghoffs.
Sullivan Krieghoff: Good old Sully the twin brother of Roy is just the opposite of his brother, Sully is the man they send when they need to send a very brutal and violent message and survivors are not needed. This man has zero conscious and will use any tactic to further the family agenda and he doesn’t care if his hands are covered in blood. Sully as well commands a unit of non family soldiers that to him are nothing more then expendable pawns in the grand scheme of things. Sully uses these soldiers to keep tabs on the street gangs and other criminals that dare to step into Krieghoff controlled territory. Sully as well works within the Lynnwood Public High School and serves as the Assistant Principal and uses this station as recruiting grounds for his soldiers and to spread the influence of his family.
Grace Krieghoff: Grace is the wife of Elmer and being a trained medical professional and former advisor to Bio-Tech corporation she has become an invaluable part of the Krieghoff empire. Grace has been able to spread their corruption deep into facets of the world that many couldn’t dream of corrupting or influencing. Though when this women can with a single phone call stale, stop or blacklist a hospital or medical facility from receiving supplies unless they go through one of the many disturbers that Grace has set up and provides. Many hospital chiefs are persuaded and find it easier to just accept the Krieghoff way then to try to fight it. Also Grace has showed that she is a women that is to not be messed with on a number of occasions, to anger Grace will only end up meeting some of the Krieghoff men. As Grace doesn’t like getting her own hands dirty and through her husbands tutelage Grace has been taught the true power of extortion.
Violet Krieghoff: The daughter of Hector, Violet is one women no one ever wants to cross as she holds a serious violent streak and is more then willing to bury her enemies. Violet is the president of the Krieghoff Construction and Excavating company and is not above using Roy to strong arm a client into accepting their bid for a contract. Most developers will always use the Krieghoffs over any other contractor out of fear of meeting Roy or even Sullivan. Those that choose to not accept the monopoly of the Krieghoffs will have to deal with arson, assaults, murder and espionage dragging their project behind and eventually bankrupting the client. Even the city, understands the ease of dealing with the Krieghoffs and has signed a deal to exclusively use this family for all their construction needs over any other contractor. As the Krieghoffs are not afraid to even muscle the officials of the city zoning board.
The Krieghoff Youth
When it come to a family dynasty such as the Krieghoff Clan, even the children are not exempt from being part of the family empire. They are one day going to inherit the empire their elders built. The Children are expected to take part in all aspects of the family business and that includes murder, extortion, bullying and recruitment. These children are not given a childhood but are fully given all the tools needed to be a productive member of the Krieghoff Criminal Empire.
Walter Krieghoff: Walter also known on the streets a Salamander is one of Toads gang and this kid has used his superior intellect to advance the furtherment of the cause. He is the son of Paul Krieghoff and even at such a young age, he has fully entered and accepted his family responsibility. Walter is highly skilled in martial combat, science and engineering so this kid adds an entirely new dimension to being a young runner. This child has been born into this lifestyle and doesn’t understand anything else then being a criminal and killer, yes Salamander has blood on his hands and he carries more sin than most adults fur times his age.
Ronnie Krieghoff: When you think of what life was like when you were a teenager, bullies where scorned and life was mostly safe from random assaults and aggression well the older brother of Walter is nothing more then a thug and bully. This kid will eventually become just like his elders and be nothing more then muscle for the Krieghoffs. Ronnie also known as Vulture is a true bully and extortion expert even at this youthful age. Ronnie is another that has joined Toad and company to fight against the incursion of the UCAS, this kid has killed in cold blood and he is not above using his status as a runner to manipulate other youths to work as his minions.
Warren Krieghoff: The eldest child of Paul has already proven that a life of crime and mischief is deep in his blood and he has no social graces left. Warren also known on the streets as Serpent has proven that the Krieghoffs are a force to be reckoned with. He unlike his brothers has been given the best education to benefit his status in the family and with a military education, granted to him through the strong armed influence of his Grandfather and Grand Uncle Walter has a serious edge on the streets already. Warren is a true thug and well on his way to becoming a veteran Street Samurai before his eighteenth birthday.
Sapphire Krieghoff: The daughter of Elmer and cousin to the other Krieghoffs one would think they would spare their Daughter from a life of crime, though you couldn’t be more wrong. Sapphire also known on the streets as Sparks is highly trained combat magi, she has harnessed magical powers that are far beyond her youthful nature and do to the near unlimited funds from her parents and grandparents, she has been granted the best tutors and access to foci that most adults would drool over. Sapphire has pared up with Toad and given up on the chance of a normal life, she is now fully entrenched into the life of being a runner and she will never look back. The Krieghoffs influence has fully taken hold of young Sapphire and she has adapted and accepted her station and responsibility to the family empire.
Ernie Krieghoff: Poor young Ernie has never been given a chance to be a child, this young boy could be considered a prodigy in the magical arts of being a physical adept since he awakened far younger then most. Well instead of giving young Elmer a chance to be a child and giving him a normal education, he was trained by the family in the arts of being an adept and even though he is the youngest and smallest of his generation young Elmer already has a bank account that surpasses most adults. He is known on the street as Dark Wing and is a master of stealth and invisibility. Young Dark Wing has fully accepted his station and has followed the others of his family into the Toads gang and even this youngster has murdered in cold blood and shows zero remorse. This is one case where child services needs to step in and hope to spare young Elmer from a further life of crime.
Douglas Krieghoff: This teenager never had a chance being the son of Sullivan and expected to partake in the family business from the time he could walk. Douglas has not only accepted his fate, he excelled at it and has become a true terror on the streets, young Douglas has zero remorse and he rules the Lynnwood Public High School seeking out qualified children to work as his tiny soldiers. The apple doesn’t far fall from the tree and with Douglas he is truly his fathers son. He is known on the streets as the Mastermind and he cares nothing for all the lives he has taken or the young children that he sent into the slaughter to both advance the cause and the family agenda.
Lilith Krieghoff: This is another full blown magi, Lilith is the daughter of Roy and a true product of her parents. The apple here fell so close to the tree that I am surprised that she wasn’t murdering people from the womb. Lilith also known as the Night Queen is a master sorceress and conjurer, this teenager was given the best tutors and supplies for her to advance in her studies far beyond that of most adult magi. Lilith is truly the queen of the night and she will do whatever is needed to advance the families agenda and fight against the proper authority. Lilith is so feared within Lynnwood that all she has do is appear and most threats will retreat, or just break and join her cause. Lilith has sent many youngsters to their untimely deaths, engaging forces far superior just to act as human shields for her and others of the family to advance and capitalize.
Henry Krieghoff: Good boy Henry they call him in the family, well good is nothing but a lie. Their is nothing good about Henry and this kid is truly evil and fully indoctrinated into the Krieghoff agenda. This kid is the youngest son of Charles and has begun his own criminal front within the shadows. Yes the newest of fixers on the street is under fifteen years of age and has direct connection with some of the greatest fixers and dealers the city and world has ever known. Henry also known as Gummy, for his love of Gummy Bears is one kid that has no remorse and will not think twice about ordering someone’s execution or doing it himself. He has the instincts of his Grandfather and Father and all their ruthlessness. Gummy is already well established in the underworld and has become the go to guy for most upcoming runners to go to for gear, information and work. Though Gummy uses this as a way to continue to push his family agenda and keep his families hands clean, he is a real chip of the old block.
