Original or Originals: These are Shadowrunners that were the first of their craft. These Runners operated in the 2030’s till 2053 there about, they gracefully bowed out of the game to make room for the next generation of Shadowrunner. (These runner’s are also referred to as the Founding Fathers or the Founders)

Next Generation: These are the Shadowrunners that came after the Originals, they emerged on the scene in early 2053 and Should have bowed out of the game for the new breed in 2065. This generation of runner never left the game and most of their numbers are now legends and are still operating within the shadows.

New Breed: This is the next generation of Shadowrunners, these runners emerged from the shadows in 2065 till present. There fate is in the hands of the prior generation, only time will tell if there will be a new generation of shadowrunner after them, or like all romantic criminals they are phased out like the Pirates of the 17th century and the desperadoes of the 19th century only spoken about as myth and legend.

Lost Generation: This is a generation of runners that fall in between the known generation of runners. These runners are not affected by the winds of change, though their actions have had a major impact on the world. These runners emerged on the scene back in 2045 till 2053 or between 2060 till 2065.  

Winds of Change: A serious of events that come to be in order to correct a wrong or remove something that shouldn’t be. The Winds are supposed to blow only if the course of fate is not followed. To date the winds have blown five times since 2063 and the most recent is still occurring today, with each event of the winds the world changes ever so slightly and the lives of the runners becomes just that much more difficult. According to Original Fable “We are the whispers in the night, we are the devils of the day, we are the ones the winds blow for. We must be responsible and listen for the wind. for it is all of us and if ignored for too long the gales will howl and we will all be swept away into the void of the night.”
