The Street Predators
The vigilante is a hunter of the guilty, these men go after anyone they see breaking the law and bring a raw form of street justice to the individual. This normally is cold blooded murder, though their are some vigilantes that try to bring the guilty in alive, so they can stand trial and accept responsibility for their actions. Though this is a rarity amongst those that walk within the shadows hunting the criminal element, these men as well act as neighbourhood protectors keeping unwanted gangs and other violent and troublesome problems out of there territory.
Within this category you also have the bounty hunters, these men are the scourge of the underworld as the are fully sanctioned and licensed killers that only see a person as a dollar sign. The bounty hunters, unlike the vigilantes don’t care if the subject is still breathing when then surrender the body over to law enforcement to collect their payment. Dead or Alive they get paid, and dead suspect is much easier to lug around.
Both the vigilante and bounty hunter are looking for the same thing, both are trying to protect the innocent from the guilty and both see the police as either inept or they are bound by procedure and red tape. The vigilantes might be doing their civic duty in capturing the guilty and bringing them to justice, but a vast majority of the time all they do is cause more of a headache for the legitimate law enforcement who are forced to clean up the mess these hunters leave behind.
Even though the police mostly look the other way when it comes to a vigilante they are still obligated to investigate the murder of even a dirt bag, everyone deserves justice to be served. The bounty hunters walk on the other side of that line and the police have their hands tied, when a hunter take down a prey. Though but do to this any suspect captured by a vigilante or bounty hunter if still breathing will see their day in court and well they can’t cry entrapment or illegal arrest since even in today’s violent world the actions of the vigilante are far from legal and the bounty hunter is an independent operator unto them self.
