Savages

This is team is well a walking disaster for the city of Seattle, they are nothing more then a menace to civilised society. The Savages are a shining example of what’s wrong with unregulated cyberware and magic, and this is the team that keeps those pesky articles in the Treaty of Denver when they are brought up for a vote. They are a team of cannibals and murderers with zero regard for life, there leader is the murderous Winter Rat and then it just goes downhill from there. Winter Rat is the sane one in this group and that is not saying a whole hell of allot here, these runners stalk the lower districts and the barrens and claim these areas as there turf. This team is so lethal that even SPD has standing orders of non engagement against them, only the military has the authority to engage them and they will only use extreme methods. Basically count your lucky stars that you are not within a zone these psychos hunt in and if you are I am sorry, the Savages seem to be drawn towards magical beings and ghouls so if you are magical stay clear of the DMZ. This team as well uses the sewers to navigate and hunt, so if you hear strange noises coming from below ground don’t try to sneak a peak for you might not like what you see. In closing this team is a nightmare and needs to be put out of there misery to spare the rest of us the fear of having to deal with them.

The Savages are no longer focused on straight chaos and murder, this squad has undergone some serious changes as of late and the city can thank the hard work of the Harbingers and especially Agent Johnathan White aka The Revelator for being the focus and inspiration to bring some sort of humanity back to this squad of madmen. Turns out team leader Winter Rat was truly a product of his environment and a further reason why we as citizens of America need to take a long hard look at Director Jared Mitchell and his Freedom Task Force as Colonel O’Bannon aka Winter Rat was supposed to be the prime example of his Universal Solider program and suffered greatly under the forced surgery and mind control cybernetics as Patient Zero; the problem was the Director Mitchell didn’t take into account Colonel O’Bannon’s patriotism and his sheer will to live and force of will. His program within it’s infancy was no match for the hardened veteran and O’Bannon was able to beat the system and break free of Mitchell’s control; though with one failure would bring his greatest success and that being Johnathan White, though even Agent White would one day walk away from his capture and learn to be free.

Now Mitchell would bring down the true American hero Colonel Douglas O’Bannon and bring forth the nightmare known as Winter Rat and for that I hate him as the Rat and the Savages have brought terror and sorrow in their wake. Even the UCAS military would be forced to flatten part of the DMZ with the satellite orbital laser in an attempt to bring down Tigger and the Rat only to fail with disastrous results. The Savages would just become even more a threat to all that is sane in the wake of the laser attack and the Rat would focus his rage onto the UCAS government and serve up their children on a silver plate quite serious there.

Though it turns out that the Savages actually have a very sad story behind each on of them and that their creation was not by their choice some government interfered in their life and forced them to succumb to unwanted surgery, cyber, bioware and mid manipulating drugs and magic in order to create a super soldier; though when their pet project would ultimately fail the government wold wash their hands of responsibility and leave them to be the problem of the average citizen….good work on that one, greed was the ultimate reason for the creation of these maniacs and now they are the enemy of their creators.

I know the Savages are responsible for countless suffering and grief for many, but one thing to take from this article is that they are not looking for forgiveness for their actions; they now that the people hate them and that is the Savages cross to bear, no they are atoning for their prior sins and ow helping the people of the city the once hunted like prey. Under the direction of the now unmasked ad cleaned up Winter Rat, the Savages have stepped out of the sewers and now follow a code and live the life if a professional. They are free of the mind altering affects that kept them psychotic and craving human flesh and blood, this new baptism is a second chance for this once band of lunatics to create a new legacy for themselves and to pay the citizens back as defenders of the meek instead of the hunters of man.

Forgive them or hate them it’s your choice to make, but in my opinion they should be watched and if they stay true to their new code and oath than forgive them; they have as well suffered one hundred times and the pain they each feel is all to real and if the O’Bannon family can forgive Agent Jonathan White for his sins against them, then we as a city can turn the other cheek when it comes to the Savages. In the grand scheme of things this team is nothing compared to the Second Hand Devils and they are helping to keep each and everyone of us free from our own captures within the UCAS and their allies. In closing I will say this Colonel O’Bannon your life of dedicated service to America has not been forgotten and I salute a true American Hero, your pain is the cross we all bear for freedom is not free and you paid the ultimate price for each and everyone of us; your life is one of legend though you are not remembered for your patriotism and your loving heart as you cared deeply for your little nephew, a monster you became and thats all people remember Colonel O’Bannon we will make certain that if you can forgive the murderer of your disabled nephew than we can forgive you and live by the new example you are setting as a true soldier and American.
