The Forsaken

One would ask what came before the Legendary Mariners and after the infamous Wolf Pack and that would this team of runners that emerged during the lost generation and yet fell into the shadows of the Mariners and the shadow war; The Forsaken where that team of the forgotten that couldn’t find their place within the great sprawl of the Emerald City and yet they would have the greatest impact on the city and never know it. This team of misfits would include the legendary Exodus the man thats murder would spark the great shadow war between the Dreamers and the Runners of the time as well they would have friends from both generations and never bought into the street fables of the Winds of Change and the needing to fade away to make room for the new generation seeing they would be classified as the Lost Generation and they would truly never find their place.

History has almost forgotten about the Forsaken until some deep research into the runners of the 2040’s and 2050’s would revel that a group of very skilled shadow operators was working deep in the shadows and was out of the main stream medias eye like that of the Mariners and sheer blood shed caused by the founding fathers especially within the Wolf Pack. The Forsaken are a team that has accomplished more than any other team in the history of the shadow world, yet their story remains untold and they would be just like their name sake forgotten by history. This team that formed under the shadows of the Wolf Pack and Mariners would have a legendary roster throughout their days and as many have fallen to age or the cancers that the early cyber would cause; the ones that remain are still at large and are very wanted men for the crimes they have committed, though the shadows don’t want to seem to give up the Forsaken and their legend as they follow one very simple rule and thats help your fellow runner and keep a close eye out for the dreamers.

The Forsaken was formed by a former school teacher that had enough being a wage slave and being disrespected by the students and even the people within his neighbourhood seeing he was not a wealthy man though he married into a blue blood family and would find himself in a very sticky situation; this man is the younger brother of known vigilante Casper and would understand that the government was not his friend and nor where the natives as he would watch from the ivory tower that he would marry into and yet never truly fit in, He would over here the conversations that where being held and he was being ignored as if he was nothing more than a servant and according to his reports in the Meet the Mercs 2037′ edition this lower class husband would even be treated like a servant even though he was part of the family. This wold allow this founder to overhear conversations that he should not have heard and political debates that those around him thought he could’t understand, yet he is a highly educated man and could fully understand what was being spoken around him.

Well how would some one that would become one of the elite become a runner and forgo his riches and step into the shadows and form one of the most influential teams of the era, yet also remain forgotten as time went by; well for that story you will have to head to this link Mr. Fixer and from there you can learn all about the teams founder and reasons he would walk away and become the runner he is today. The Forsaken wold include many legends throughout their tenure including notable names like Hatchetman, Colonel Cobra, Beast and many others throughout their time on the streets. Many would hear the call of Mr. Fixer and his cause for freedom and his fight from the oppression of the 1% and this man would fully understand that facts that the UCAS (United Canadian American States) would not want known as he was married into the O’Brian family and would be treated like a serf than a husband, father and equal.

When the words spoken by Casper and others on the street where starting to ring true as Mr. Fixer would here the murmurings through the halls of the Lynnwood high school he taught at and than hearing the opposite back at home, he knew it was time to make his voice heard and with the O’Brian family scrambling to recover after the attack from known terrorist Bug and the kidnapping of Jame’s is own child; Wilford knew that he would be ignored and would become a target of the O’Brians seeing he was of lower status and his brother Casper would not make things any easier for him. Wilford reached out to his brother Casper asking for help trying to escape the O’Brian manor in Upper Seddle; this would become what is known as the Seven Houses Job as Casper reached out to Autopsy and Talon and from their history would be made forever; the generations would merge yet the times would change and the Lost Generation would be born.

The Forsaken are a team led by a man that gave up everything to fight for freedom and keep his children safe from the brainwashing of the O’Brians and the UCAS though he would also paint a huge bulls eye on his chest in doing so, this is how the Forsaken where born and the impact they would have would spread like wildfire throughout the city. Though not like they ever knew it, Exodus was one of Mr. Fixer’s closest friends and he would end up being murdered by a band of Dreamers leading Quickdraw to declare war on the Dreamers and I believe one of the reasons the Forsaken would go forgotten within history is that many of their members blended into the Mariners and others vanished into the shadows. Leaving only a handful to remain and these runners are just that damned good at their job that it took till 2074 for the Forsaken to be remembered and the membership to figured out from the tangled web of teams that came from that age.

The biggest impact the Forsaken would have wouldn’t be felt till after the Battle for Seattle when General O’Brian would loose his dream team in Urban Strike One; Three of O’Brians men where actually members of the Forsaken that gave false documents and histories to the General to gain his trust Longshot, Sixx and Eight Ball where all formally part of the Forsaken and planted into the feared Urban Strike Division by Mr. Fixer do to his intimate knowledge of the O’Brian family and especially how James worked. He knew James would freak out and try to make a power grab if there was a broken arrow situation and so Mr. Fixer and the Forsaken faked the entire Broken Arrow of the 2050’s and James fell right into the trap he scooped up freelance runners with sob stories that he could mold as his own and be like papa bear to these men. Well we all know now that it might have taken a decade or two but Mr. Fixer’s plan worked and the Forsaken would successfully not only lead to to the death of General Jame’s O’Brian but they would successfully infiltrate the UCAS military and as well with the help of Kilroy and Edison they would begin draining the O’Brians personal bank accounts through the Zurich Orbital shutdown; forcing James to make hasty moves and go head to head with both the Patriots and the Krieghoffs as he watched his empire crumble before him.

I have even discovered that the betrayer of the Patriots known as Atari was as well being controlled by James O’Brian and Director Mitchell he is a member of he Forsaken and General Kingsbury’s best friend. Atari would end up being mind controlled by the sinister devices created by Director Mitchell the same device that was controlling the wife of Gov. Barney Pilgrim. It took some serious research and most of my savings to figure this out but eventually Longshot would confront his teammate and Atari would believe that Longshot was still dedicated to O’Brian even though James had been dead for some time and Atari was still doing the work for the UCAS and Free Bird; Longshot would risk his life engaging his friend in true street brawl; Longshot had zero intentions of killing or harming his friend, but the device was deeply implanted in Atari’s skull and Longshot knew that he would have nearly kill his friend to free him of Mitchell’s control and bring a true warrior for freedom back. Though he also knew that General Kingsbury and others would be hard pressed to trust Atari again after what he did, but the Forsaken and Mr. Fixer are more forgiving and seeing Atari was one of theirs they would protect him till he was healed and his memory restored.

Well in closing when it comes to the Forsaken this team has been a major player in the revolution and I don’t take sides in the politics of the war, I am one that doesn’t agree with mind control and the actions of the Runner Rehabilitation Program set up by James O’Brian and the Mind Control Devices and Propaganda machine of the Freedom Task Force of Director Mitchell and as Agent White and Project Zero aka Winter Rat would be forgiven and accepted by their agencies Serenity would once again stand by her husbands side; I believe that Atari should as well be watched but be given the same graces as the others that where victims of Director Mitchell, if the Forsaken are willing to look past his wrongdoings under the mind control of Mitchell I believe others should as well. I did receive a phone call to my office from Saul Oxford aka Atari explaining how that device works and he sent me the documents from Director Mitchell on the creation of this device, he also wanted to extend his deepest apologises to all he harmed while under the control of Director Mitchell and he stated that Blighty of the Steel Legion is a deep seated spy within the Round table for the Trinity of Evil or also known as the Hydra Project that includes the terrorists of Free Bird.

I have stated before that I am not one to report opinions unless I state that they are opinions, I am one that goes to great lengths to report the facts and only the facts and keep my personal political disparities out of the news; for thats not where they belong and anyone looking to contact me please do I am normally within my office Monday through Friday but I at times work the weekend as the news does not sleep; my facts on Atari have been vetted and came from Mr. Boston, Mr. Vegas and Socrates so I know I can trust those news hounds; other information on the Forsaken has come from former members and I will keep my Oath and not revel my sources. I am as well still working on locating the Frogger situation and I have my field reporters out there trying to locate that rapist and killer. So for now Seattle sleep well and have a good night, there is a storm coming so everyone please stay safe and keep yourself prepared for whats to come; regardless of what side of the war you are on and where your politics stand this is going to be a major offensive and please don’t panic let the professionals handle the situation and keep yourself safe.
