The Seattle Medical Examiners Office is currently accepting applications for technicians, doctors, researchers, and forensic specialists. They are as well accepting applications for removal specialists and those interested in an exciting career as forensic pathologist as an intern. For all positions except for the Coroners Assistant please fill out application in person and be ready for an intimidate interview. All intern applicants please contact the Chief Medical Examiner during regular business hours to set up a personal interview. The Medical Examiners Office is currently processing all requests for identification in a timely process, please be patient as the staff is currently dealing with a heavy backlog of requests and is processing as quickly as they can. Citizens are requested to bring an item with there missing relative, loved one or friends DNA on it such as a toothbrush, hair comb or brush to aid the researchers in their identification process.
Please be patient, the results can take up to 30 days or longer to be validated. If the initial request returns in the negative a secondary trial will be conducted as new evidence and remains are brought into the office. A negative response is in no way a validation from the Medical Examiners Office of the missing still being alive, it only means their is no evidence to verify life or death of the subject. Please contact the Seattle Police Departments Missing Person Division at (206)-555-7788 ext. 345 only after you receive a secondary negative report.
For those citizens that come in contact with a deceased body please contact the Seattle Police Department first and follow all instructions given by the operator. Only contact the Medical Examiners Office if you are a medical professional or a funeral specialist who suspect foul play, or the deceased has past in a suspicious manner or death occurred at the home or in a residential rehabilitation centre or coffin motel. Otherwise follow all standard operating procedures and contact the on call medical examiner within your facility.

Meet the Staff
Dr. Sherman Finesilver: Dr. Finesilver is the Chief Medical Examiner and he is in full command of the entire forensics division of the office. This doctor is a legendary forensic specialist and he seems to have sight beyond sight when it comes to examining the deceased, he has eyes of the eagle and his senses or keen so very little escapes his glance. Dr. Finesilver is extremely wise and skilled, he has the final say when it comes to all aspects of the Medical Examiners office and all autopsy results must be overseen by Dr. Finesilver before they get released to the investigating officers.
Dr. Roy Apples: Dr. Apples is a board certified cardiologist and he now lends his skills to being a voice for the victims. Dr. Apples is a master surgeon with a very steady hand and a calm heart, this medical examiner has rose through the ranks and he is a true master of forensic science and he is called in to examine any deceased that has suffered any form of cardiac episode. Dr. Apples see’s himself as a voice of justice and a voice for the deceased, this is one medical examiner that truly has a heart of gold.
Dr. Donald Richards: Dr. Richards is the day shift’s most senior medical examiners and this man has seen the worst the city can throw at him. He is a man of honour and dedication to the city and to her people, Dr. Richards is one of the rare men who believe in the law absolute and stays true to the oath he swore when he became a doctor. This man believes himself to be a voice for the victims and won’t rest till justice is served, he is troubled by the lacklustre some of his fellow colleagues show towards the law and too the victims and their families. Dr. Richards is a a board certified neurologist and he serves on the cities Board of Coroners, Dr. Richards is currently seeking an assistant and has previously trained some of the best medical examiners the UCAS has ever seen.
Dr. Palmer Cortland: Dr. Cortland is one of the cities most crucial medical examiners, this man specializes in the extreme cases. This speciality is of great need do to the actions of some of the cites runners, Dr. Cortland is one of the few men that can put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Dr. Cortland is very dedicated to his job and to the people of the city, this man works long hours and weeks on his own personal time once he is assigned a case. Dr. Cortland is a master of the trade and any student lucky enough to work underneath Dr. Cortland could go very far in there career, though do expect to be working extremely long hours with very little time off. Dr. Cortland does not tolerate tardiness and he never takes a vacation to him the job is the utmost importance.
Dr. Wilbur Gravel:Dr. Gravel is one of the few part time on call medical examiners for the city of Seattle. This doctor primarily works out of Seattle Memorial Hospital and is the Chief of the Emergency Department and Surgery. Dr. Gravel lends his skills to the coroners office when they need an extra hand, for this surgeon has keen eyes and a steady hand Dr. Gravel as well has decades of experience in the medical field. Nothing escapes this doctors glance, and his distrustful nature for Doctor Gravel is all business at all times; he has been deemed the creepiest of all the medical examiners and is always in need of a new assistant.
Dr. Haskell Green: Dr. Green has been working for the medical examiners office for his entire career. This man has been the lynch pin in solving some of the cities worst homicides and putting some of the most legendary killers away for life or sending them to the cities gallows. Dr. Green is a toxicologist specialist and is a board certified organ harvester and is the go to man for organ recovery. He has recently been named the exclusive medical examiner for the gallows and ready to harvest the condemned just after execution. Dr. Green has been referred to be a down to earth and jolly fellow; though he does take his job very seriously and is happy to be able to give life through death.
Dr. Wilbur Montgomery Senior: Dr. Montgomery is a very seasoned medical examiner, this man has been through the wringer and has been granted a second chance at life after spending 10 years on death row for a crime he didn’t commit. This doctor has decided to dedicate the rest of his life to making sure no one else will ever suffer the same fate. This man is beyond dutiful and dedicated to the job, and takes every case as serious as any other brought before him. You can guarantee that Dr. Montgomery will treat your loved ones with the utmost respect and he will not rest till he finds the cause of death, and he will also make sure the case doesn’t go cold as he will keep bugging the detectives till they solve the case. His speciality is the rare and unexplained, and he takes on all the mysterious cases that would baffle most other medical examiners.
Dr. Melvin Mariner: Dr. Mariner is a world renowned entomologist and adds his vast experience to the Seattle Medical Examiners Office, with his experience in using entomological timelines he is very capable of narrowing down time of death on many of the forgotten bodies that come into the office and would normally be impossible to figure out when the victim died. His skills masterfully help the detectives in their investigation, add his anthropology training and experience and you have one medical examiner that is a true bane to for the criminal and one that can help identify most skeletal remains and create a composite image of the victim prior to death.
