Bio: Well it’s time to talk about the man known as Mister the father of the Denver Guard, the man that single handedly created the worlds most feared law enforcement agency and for damned good reason. Oakley comes from a long carrier of protecting and serving within the premiere law enforcement agencies in America the Los Angeles Police Department where he would work with SWAT, Undercover, Homicide and eventually close out his carrier in the Major Crimes division. Mister hails from a long line of law enforcement officials and after his stint in the US Navy he would be destined to enter the academy and work with the LA Police Department. Oakley is another of the dreaded veterans that would receive the Federal Immortality Project Injection so his actual age and time of service is unknown but can be assumed that he served in the Second World War seeing he was stationed at Pearl Harbour.
His time in the Navy is not currently known as the records where not recovered in time before Jarred Mitchell deleted his hard drives and destroyed his old office. Though from court records found in Hollywood we can pin point Oakley Doyle’s start within the LA Police Department to be 1956 and his records on file say that he is a Korean War Veteran serving with both the US Navy and US Marine Corp. so we can assume that he joined the Marines after Pearl Harbour and his stint fighting the Japanese in the Pacific Front of the Second World War.
Mister brings with him over six decades of experience with him when he marched into Denver and established the Guard and opened the academy for day on in 2019. This man is a monster in combat as the Storm Riders would learn on their failed assault of the Walled City and even Martin Hakett would be unable to out perform Commander Oakley Doyle. He would create the Guard to be the ultimate military police division and train them in the skills and tactics that served him well in Korea and on the streets of LA. This protocol would become the regular norm for the Guard for most of it’s time of service the Denver Guard would be in operation from 2019 to 2074 with Oakley Doyle at the helm from 2019 to 2065 when he would step down do to a conflict of interests and a disdain for the transformation of the Guard from Law Enforcement to a Secret Police Order shades of the Nazi Parties SS.
Oakley would keep a very close eye on the Guard and protect it and groom it like he would his own son Cardwell who would as well join the Denver Guard at a very young age. Though as the regulations shifted, rebellion attacks began to focus on Denver, and the City would be further dived between districts; each location being it’s own nation and each district having it’s own judicial and legal authority. The Denver Guard would have to evolve with the ever growing city and become more than just a local policing agency and become an international police force and their rules and regulations would adapt to control an ever growing threat.
In 2030 when the City of Walls would officially segregate itself and even more focus would be painted on Oakley’s back as the Commander of the Guard and most feared and respected citizen of Denver he would be forced to increase the training, increase the equipment and as well decrease the restrictions he had in place as a safety net to protect both the people of Denver and the Guard from an abuse of power. This would begin to spell the doom of the worlds most elite order of Police and eventually allow for a coup to over throw Oakley and force the long time veteran to retire or become what he hated; though this would take many decades to come to fruition but the writing was on the wall and Oakley could see it long before that dark day in 2065.
For this old timer the Denver Guard was his second chance at a noble and honourable carrier and to create a legacy for himself and something for his son to one day command. He would begin a family and purchase a home as well develop friendships that would last till today. Though earlier in 2074 he would watch as the city he called home would crumble and be destroyed as the Mile High City would implode and sink into the crater of it’s own shadow. Oakley would escape the destruction with only a few friends, his son and only the possessions he could carry o his back. The ruins of Denver will forever be a memory of the tragedies of war and the horrors that in brings with it, Oakley would make his way west with the rest of his friends and former Guard mates and establish themselves within Seattle as the order known today as Ruination and he welcomes all the refugees from Denver within his ranks.
Though if they where part of the New Guard than I don’t recommend approaching Oakley as those wounds are still quite fresh. This is a man of honour and pride, he has dedicated his life to protecting and serving the people of this great nation and to restoring law and order to a troubled land and sacrificed everything to keep his honour un tested in the shadow of evil. Denver was his city and he helped build the city as we once knew with his blood, sweat, and tears this man sacrificed everything for the salvation of the people of Denver and was only spit on by those same people in the end.
The Guard after Oakley would go on to do horrible things that were borderline war crimes including torture, illegal arrests, and seizure of property from those deemed to be criminals or terrorists. They would imprison without trial and execute anyone on a simple accusation. This dramatic change to the Guard would sicken Oakley and be the reason for his retirement, the UCAS (United Canadian American States) under James O’Brian would create mutiny and insinuate a military coup to remove Commander Doyle from power and execute multiple long standing Guard members as a show of power.
Oakley was allowed to remain in Denver but his home and property were seized and he was dumped on the cities outskirts beyond the protection of the inner wall and left to reside with the same people he had arrested and investigated. Many of the Guard would stay out of fear of what would happen if they left though eventually through frustration and loyalties to Oakley one by one the dedicated and noble Guard’s Men would turn in their papers and resign. The UCAS government in an attempt to slow the vacating of many of the Guards ranking officers would make another show of power and begin arresting many of the Guardsmen’s family and friends as well they would begin to terrorise Oakley and Cardwell who would be living just above poverty.
The UCAS would shut the power down, the water down, and slow the food supplies to his neighbourhood; they would as well round up law abiding citizens and decree that they are terrorists working with Oakley to over throw the government. These terror tactics would have a dramatic affect as the people would become divided and the younger citizens would begin to assault and try to murder Oakley blaming him for their suffering where the older ones would not believe that Oakley was involved in any coup and he was just a target for assassination. This would bring war to the streets of Denver and what the governments tried to quell and prevent would become a reality, Oakley would become a rebel leader by Proxy and Denver would have to deal with an order known as the Tunnel Rats and eventually he would take up the mantle of leader and unite the poor in direct defiance of the Usurpers.
Those within the Denver Guard would not have it so easy and many would be hanged to death after many hours of brutal torture, they would be assaulted and shot at by their fellow Guardsmen and either fall in line or be killed and erased from history. As the Tunnel Rats would start to become a threat the Usurpers the Guard would be even further divided as many were still loyal to Oakley and yet they had to fight and attempt to quell this rebellion or suffer a fate worse than death. Though the more horrors they instituted on the people the more the people would speak out in direct defiance and the Tunnel Rats would begin to have a legitimate voice and their plight would be felt by more of the populace than the government could control. Shecky Thompson, Dennis Holmes, Jane Winters, Victor O’Bannon, and James Hilliard would one by one leave the Guard through direct violence and trying to bring down the terror cell that the UCAS had created before it grew out of control. Though these former Guardsmen would ultimately fail in their attempt they would leave the Guard with a huge black eye as these where some of there best Guards and part of their elite order that Oakley had established in the Guards early days.
Many others would leave and some would even join Oakley and fight once again with there former Commander while others would escape Denver and arrive in Seattle to vanish into the shadows till the rise of Ruination. Though for Oakley by 2070 this revolution within Denver would become personal and he would decree that he was going to see the end of the Guard and he was going to kill the monster he birthed so many years prior. The Tunnel Rats where his new baby even though he didn’t birth the order, he would groom it like he did the Denver Guard Elite Division and with many of his original members dead, vacated their posts or within the Tunnel Rats; he wouldn’t have to worry about the new Guard understanding how to predict nor defeat a man with everything to gain and nothing to loose.
For the next four years the Tunnel Rats would reek havoc within Denver and turn the once peaceful and low crime city into a war zone and as well make certain that the people would never become the targets of retribution. Oakley would create his own personal weapons and ammunition for the Tunnel Rats to use. This would make it beyond clear to the legitimate law enforcement who killed who and with the Guard loosing all it’s credibility with the people their lies would fall on deaf ears. The more original guardsman to leave and join the rebellion the more the people would begin to stand behind the Tunnel Rats and eventually the guard would have to fully relies on James O’Brian and the UCAS Military that was more than happy to lend a helping hand with the military.
This rebellion would even stretch outside the city to the surrounding regions and Violet Meisner the owner of Tudors Bar & Grill in Colorado Springs would become a very important figure in the war against terror. She would align herself with Oakley and others, Violet would be the eyes and ears for the Tunnel Rats and as well the information broker as she earned the trust of many of the cities UCAS soldiers that lived in the many bases in Colorado Springs and ate at Tudors on a regular basis. Even the upper brass would break bread at Tudors not knowing that sitting behind them is Oakley listening in and gaining direct intelligence on shipments, troop movements and other valuable data. Violet would become close friends with Oakley and Dennis during these troubled days and without her the rebellion would have been crushed under the weight of the UCAS military.
Colorado would be a staging ground for troubled days to come and many within the state would eventually side with the Tunnel Rats and Oakley as his legacy of honour was something of a legend. They called him the man that built the Walled City and the man that has the right to tear those walls down. The Usurpers that by now fully controlled Denver as they did Detroit would never be able to quell the Tunnel Rats as they did the Tribes of Detroit and thats simply because Oakley could never be intimidated and he would never surrender. Once Oakley took command of the Tunnel Rats it would only be a matter of time before Denver would fall to the people and Oakley would free everyone and restore law and order.
As the years progressed the rebellion was slowing down and with the arrival of the Patriots to lend a helping hand to the Tunnel Rats and eventually Scalp Hunter and Radar to reconnect communications. This would be exactly what Mister would need to increase the revolution within the city limits and as well plan assaults on military convoys throughout Colorado. Communications where key in the further success of the Tunnel Rats and would eventually spell the doom of the Mile High City.
With the governments success in quelling rebellion by nuking Detroit, James O’Brian would be forced to do the same to Denver. If he couldn’t defeat or stop Oakley than destroy what he cared so deeply for, James hoped that he would kill Oakley either in the destruction or heartbreak in the aftermath of watching millions of his citizens perish. Recent records show that James O’Brian contracted out to Alexander Church and over the course of a year they would begin to formulate a plan of total destruction even giving Alexander the access codes to the secret military tunnels under the city. James knew the rebels hated Denver and everything it stood for, and hiring Alexander to destroy what he hated would be an easy move on the chess board.
James knew that the Tunnel Rats and Commander Doyle would eventually win and restore the city and with that it would bring an end to the crown jewel of the UCAS. He knew that Oakley had already spoken with Archibald Kingsbury and with Patriot divisions and the Wolverines stationed around Denver it was a matter of time before the focus would no longer be on destroying the city to capturing and restoring the city and O’Brian could never allow that to happen. He figured by hiring Alexander and the worlds best demolitions team he could shift the blame of the cities death directly onto the rebels and thus discredit them all in the process. Well in O’Brians haste he didn’t see his own capture and execution in the coming days, thus when the trigger was pulled on Denver and the city would become nothing but a sunken ruins; he was not there to capitalise on the destruction as he did with Detroit and all the blame would be shifted on to him as it should be.
The Tunnel Rats would learn of the attack only twenty-four hours prior and Oakley would do his best to alert everyone he could and try to evacuate the city before the bombs would go off. Though he would ultimately fail as Colonel Roy Gunderson had within Detroit, Oakley and Cardwell would be the last of the Tunnel Rats to escape the city only minutes before the plan of destruction would commence and he would watch in the horizon as the fires of hell would erupt and the top of the plateau would sink as thousands of vehicles stuck in traffic trying to escape Denver would be swallowed whole or thrown off the sides and forever lost. As the Doyle’s and others flew away in their black hawk Oakley would begin to regret everything and fear that by trying to warn the people he caused them to suffer even more by dying with a hope before having that hope torn from them in a blink of an eye.
This weight would way heavily on Oakley and the blanket of depression still haunts him today, though he is not one to ever throw in the towel and do to this he would form Ruination a banner of remembrance and a banner of revolution to never allow another American city to suffer the same fate. March 13th 2074 would live on in infamy in the memories and hearts of those within Ruination or the Crimson Ruination (The Bloody Ruins), Commander Doyle and the other survivors would never forgive nor will they ever forget about the tragic loss of life needlessly as a way to bring an end to a rebellion.
Now within Seattle Ruination under Oakley’s command stand a true defender of the people and for freedom and liberty, lending their decades of experience to the Seattle Police Department in capturing the enemies of freedom. Oakley has aligned himself and Ruination with the Harbingers and General Ralph Rivers thus becoming the voice of reason within the Waterways Military Compound and someone to assist General Rivers in the restoration of the Emerald City. Oakley himself is a wanted man by the UCAS for his involvement in the Denver Revolution so standing arm to arm with an International criminal doesn’t phase him in the least and even with wanted war criminals within the ranks of the Harbingers and now the Seattle Elite or simply the US Elite; Oakley fully understands reconciliation and the need for forgiveness if the Rebellion will ever survive. Though Oakley is not thrilled with those that partook in the destruction and death of Denver and her people, he understands that if he was quicker with communications and getting information out maybe this could have been prevented.
He knows that Denver was a hot target for the rebels to destroy and remove the stain of the UCAS and the Treaty of Denver from the map, this doesn’t make him happy but he openly forgives those that were just following their heart and doing what they thought was proper. Though he will never be able to overlook the tragedy and all the blood of the fallen are on those responsible. Commander Doyle will forever remember the horror of that day and he will forever be haunted by the memories of Denver’s last moment. This destruction is just another reason he wants and prays for the rebellion to come to end through diplomacy and not further war, how many more innocent lives need to be lost in the name of freedom.
Oakley was given a chance to join up with the US Elite and after reading the credence and the ethics of the order he put his name to paper in hopes that some good can come from all the tragedy and misinformation. He hopes this branch of the service is just the start of something good and a sign that the people are tired of grieving for the lives of their citizens and family under the weight of the rebellion from both sides. Oakley is more than happy to lend a helping hand in grooming and constructing an order of honour and dedication one that truly stands for it’s oath and for the protection of the people.
Commander Oakley Doyle was given command of the US Elite Military Police Division and Criminal Investigation Division and works directly alongside General Ralph Rivers in the cultivation of this branch of the armed services and preparing for the day that they are actually needed for more than training the men. Oakley has made certain the March 13th 2074 will be a day of remembrance within the US Elite and as well he will be formulating a curriculum regarding the history of Denver and the terror points of detection so as no US Elite solider nor officer can miss the warning signs and never allow for the terror of Denver to occur again.
Oakley and his son Cardwell live deep in regret but as the sins of their rebellion linger in their hearts they are doing good work for the people of Seattle and hopefully these two Guardsman can be a beacon of hope and freedom for the Emerald City and her people; for Oakley I truly hope so for I don’t think this old veteran can handle watching the destruction of another place he calls home or the death of yet another American city and her people. Oakley watched Los Angels fall to the Warlords, Chicago become Bug City, Boulder City get demolished, Detroit become a Nuclear Wasteland and Denver become the Sunken Ruins and eternal cemetery. He needs some positive karma in his life and something for him to believe in again or James O’Brian might just get his wish from beyond the grave as Oakley slowly dies from within and the man he once was fades away and only the shell of a man remains.
